UPDATE MARCH 16:
We're still dealing with the fallout from certain people's accounts being
compromised on another site. This is why you should never use the same password
everywhere you have an account. The person responsible is using a script to flood
the front page using both compromised accounts and new ones he's making.
We're finally ready to resume working on all the expanded features, but first we
have to fix the flood protection, and for now, new user accounts will have to be
activated by an admin. If you have registered for the site and you
don't get a registration approval for a while, please be
understanding.
VGMix is a community built around arrangements of video game soundtracks. Over the past six years, our site has taken
several different forms, as we have learned what works and what doesn't, recovered from disasters, and grown as designers.
VGMix X is an integration of our custom back-end with a commercial content management system that
handles the basics, so we can focus on developing the stuff that makes us unique.
Most of the most highly anticipated features are missing right now, but rather than keep you waiting indefinitely,
we've decided to put the basic site online so you can use it right away. Due to the modularity of our system, we can
roll out new features as they are finished. Our progress will be updated regularly in the Forum,
so you can tell at a glance how we're coming along, and what to expect next.
For way more detail on this, see the blog post on the subject. Note that we're still fixing bugs as we find them, so if something doesn't work, please report it in the Bug Report forum!
In the meantime, feel free to create an account (you'll need to make a new account, see the blog post for why), share some music, and interact with your fellow artists and listeners.
